Gyoujin tai

This float is one of the oldest remaining masterpieces.

In1875 Gyoujin tai was partially destroyed by fire, and soon after that it was rebuilt to its present simple form; however, it was absent from the festival from the end of 19th century until it reappeard in 1951.

The carving of the old man is dated to 1782.
